Engraved Disc Placed Next to Design

<p>The disc was first coated with Chinese White water colour and the design traced onto it. Then the frog was cut out using a graver (I use <a href="http://www.lindsayengraving.com/">Lindsay Air Graver</a>) and the guilloche put in, using an adapted <a href="http://sherline.com/sherline-vertical-milling-machines/">Sherline Mill</a>.</p> <p>I formed the doming afterwards as cutting the guilloche on a domed surface is a bit tricky. Using a urethane spring pad as the female-part of the forming die so that the graver cuts didn&#39;t get dulled.</p>
