Once the ends are soldered together it's surprising just how easily the ring becomes circular. I add consistent hammer blows to the ring whilst turning it, sometimes working on a particular area if it's clearly eccentric, but it tends to become circular pretty quickly.

This method of hammering the ring will also increase the diameter and thin-out the sides, so it's a useful method to change the dimensions of the ring but worth being aware not to hammer it too much if that's not desired!

The ring looks beautiful, maybe there's a way to use this somewhere!
