I've been testing out how to create a border of crosses. The idea is to have a band of red enamel with small crosses along the band - giving a medieval look. Here's my experiment!

It looks like I'll need to engrave a bit deeper, the red has come out a bit grey so a deeper enamel layer should help. The blue is OK though. This particular piece has been done on gilding metal plate, 3mm thick and 40mm along the longest side. I still haven't done a proper test (like this) of the Milton Bridge British Enamel set on this metal yet - but planning to do fairly soon.
